Reel Sisters Festival Honors Filmmaker Huriyyah Muhammad with Trailblazer Award

The Reel Sisters of the Diaspora Film Festival & Lecture Series will honor filmmaker Huriyyah Muhammad with its Trailblazer award on October 4, 2024, at Riverside Theater in Harlem. The ceremony will also feature the world premieres of two short films by Reel Sisters Micro Budget Fellows: 'Finding JaMia's Spirit' by Candace D. Patrick and '29 Hour Famine' by Vivienne Shaw.
