The competition challenges participants to develop a treatment that can restore muscle, cognitive, and immune function by a minimum of 10 years, with an ambitious goal of 20 years, for individuals aged 50-80. Lionheart Health's innovative technology platform utilizes precise bioelectric signaling sequences to control protein release and regeneration mechanisms.
Central to their research is the Klotho protein, which recent studies have demonstrated plays a significant role in aging and longevity. Research by Abraham (2022) and Dubnov (2024) indicates that increasing Klotho levels can potentially extend lifespan and improve cognitive function in animal models.
