Flosser Y, a new flossing device designed to address the inefficiencies and environmental drawbacks of traditional floss and disposable picks, has launched on Kickstarter. The product, developed by Simflo, features a built-in cartridge system that allows users to replace floss in three seconds using a one-touch lever mechanism. A serrated structure and leverage principles ensure the floss remains taut, while an integrated cutter automatically trims the floss after use, providing stability for cleaning both front teeth and difficult-to-reach molars.
The device's head measures 1.02 inches, optimized for accessing back molars, and its curved tip enhances comfort during use. The handle includes internal storage for two additional floss cartridges, and a sliding cover mechanism improves portability, making it suitable for travel and daily use. Each standard cartridge contains the equivalent of 150 single-use floss picks, significantly cutting down on plastic waste compared to disposable options. Flosser Y offers an eco-friendly biodegradable floss made from bamboo charcoal, as well as multiple density options including 420D Nylon, 500D PTFE, and 720D Bamboo floss to accommodate different dental needs. Available in four colors—Midnight Black, Pastel Blue, Cream White, and Sunset Rose—the device combines functionality with aesthetic appeal.
